Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

This service is offered upon referral from your doctor. It is recommended for diagnosing patients in whom there is a clinical
suspicion for white coat hypertension as well as evaluating the effectiveness of blood pressure medication.

You wear a blood pressure cuff which is attached to a small portable monitor and it records your blood pressure every 30 minutes
over a 24 hour period.

There is a fee of $50.00 for this service which is not covered by Québec insurance.

Cardiac Programs

NDPH continues to work diligently to improve the quality of life for heart patients through our Cardiac Education Program.

This out-patient program promotes lifestyle changes for individuals who are at risk or have recently developed
cardiovascular disease. The program provides education delivered by a multidisciplinary team, as well as follow-up and
support for individuals and their families.

Community Diabetes Educational Program

The Notre Dame Pavilion Hospital Community Diabetes Education Program offers group sessions and individual counselling to help individuals with diabetes to achieve better knowledge and awareness of diabetes and its implications. It empowers clients to manage their own health. The program offers access to a multidisciplinary health team, including: diabetes educator, dietitian, physiotherapist and pharmacist. Anyone with diabetes, their families and friends, who want to gain an understanding about diabetes and how to manage it, should attend. The program is suitable for those with:

  • Newly diagnosed diabetes
  • Previously diagnosed diabetes
  • Insulin dependence
  • Non-insulin dependence
